Felix Scott is a British artist specialising in sculpture and fibre arts. Exploring themes of identity, memory, femininity, domesticity and adolescence. Specifically looking at the universal experience that is puberty, she uses objects reminicent of school, such as desks and benches, in combination with soft tufted yarn. This personification highlights the contrasting feelings of shame/embarrassment/awkwardness with feelings of excitement/the promise of adulthood and womanhood in particular. These anthropomorphised pieces address her own insecurities throughout this time, as well as universally shared feelings.

Scott’s practice focuses on sculpture and fibre arts in particular, specifically craft techniques such as knittng and tufting. She uses these materials to highlight the oppressive history that women have had with craft, and the hurdles these techniques have had to overcome to be recognised within the art world.
