Black Desert (2022) is an indoor desert display with lustrous black liquid flowing across the desert sands and two buried print works – all in the corner of red walls. Drawing on migration, petro-cultures and spiritual journeys – the installation amalgamates former and recent alchemical research and poetic moments to allow them a space for hybrid discoveries through critical dialogue.
