This video will analyse the effect social media has on the behaviour of young tourists. Using Red as a Case study, this project aims to show how the tourism industry could be improved through the use of social media. The inspiration for this project came from my observation of young people exploring Britain by using social media such as Red.

I will explore the impact of social media on the behaviour of young tourists through questionnaires and interviews. My questionnaire will explore this through six main sections, looking at Red’s ease of use, usefulness, authenticity, and red’s ability to inspire users to share and interact. I will conduct further in-depth interviews with bloggers, users, and media professionals to gain further insight. Through these, I found that Red excels in its perceived ease of use and ability to inspire users to share and interact. In turn, these factors could help tourists when making better decisions.
