My previous military experience in South Korea sparked the idea for this work. I wanted to express the flow of finding colors in a blank state of stories that I have experienced during my military service through using red and white. The foundation was inspired by the military, but I wanted to modernize it with fashion. These works’ silhouettes and textiles were inspired by air force fighters while i was serving in the district 19th Fighter Wing Air Force in south Korea.
