All Flesh is Grass is my graduation film. It is about a character who discovers a mysterious fungal growth on their arm. My aim was to prompt the audience to think about how they interact with fungi in their everyday lives. How, even though we can’t see it, it is an essential part of us, living on our skin and in our bodies. The animation was drawn in Procreate and then compiled in Photoshop. The eye of my character are spore prints created using portobello mushrooms. The flashing sequences are made using cyanotypes prints of plant matter and printed material. I wanted to challenge myself to try out all aspects of animation so I could have a better understanding of my strengths and what I personally enjoy.

Here is a collection of cyanotype and spore prints that I used to create animated sequences in my film.
