Blu Selby is a highly motivated, hardworking Illustration graduate from Kingston School of Art, London. Her creativity is evident in everything she does, resulting in her being noticed by publications such as Dazed Magazine, Perfect Magazine, and Penguin Books, amongst many others. Her work explores the relationship between drawing and contemporary art and extends the definition of what drawing is and what it might become.
To honour the toys that shaped our childhood, I start with found, discarded toys and meticulously cover them in gems – giving them a sparkly second life. The toys evoke sentiment and nostalgia among those who once played with them.
