Chi Park is an illustrator/animator from South Korea. Her works are characterised by playful and spontaneous energy, as her sketchbooks often comprise humorous depictions of everyday observation. She likes to allow an image to drift away from directly representational records, towards absurd, whimsical and evocative portrayals by manipulating the forms and compositions to communicate a heightened sense of reality. Working freely and intuitively, she will squash, expand, delete and edit the elements of her drawings, creating new meanings through playful combinations driven by observation and imagination.
