David Ilgenstein is the director and co-writer for the project Chiaroscuro, in the absence of light. In his work, David aims to focus on socially relevant topics, like family, migration, activism and belonging, often taking inspiration from his own life. In the case of this project, he addresses the complex dynamics between him and his mother, in the context of having to find a balance between taking care of a sick parent and one’s own ambitions.
