Tantu (meaning fibre in Hindi) is a home decor collection made from a coconut fibre biocomposite – a natural biodegradable material. As coconuts are considered auspicious in Hindu culture, this collection showcases traditional rituals in the contemporary form of tableware. It’s inspired by the Havana Kund – a fire ritual in Hinduism for various tableware functions. The coconut fibre biocomposite later decomposes and goes back to nature after serving the purpose of using coconut fibre waste.
