‘She has a feeling of it, she feels in her hands that she knits and how she must knit, and therefore, the movements of knit are called forth when attention is taken away’ – Professor William James, “Laws of Habit”, Popular Science Monthly, 1887.

This collection draws upon the memories I have as a child, learning to knit and sew from my mum. Focusing on how the craft of knitting has been taught through generations, as a means of livelihood and industry, as well as an expression of love. Hand-crafting clothes to be cherished and sharing this skill with generations to come.
