This thesis investigated the development of housing schemes in once affluent towns along the south coast. The project explores the possibility of a small housing scheme in the periphery of the historic town. The project reacts to the needs of local residents by creating spaces for the local community to adapt to their needs. The project creates a cluster of houses sheltering a community centre in the heart of the urban block.
