Katya Hudson artist and writer currently studying at KSA. Half Ukrainian and half English her work often aims to bridge the gap between Ukraine and the West. Telling stories of her motherland presents its struggles and beauty in the everyday to the collective conscience of Britain, creating a dialogue between the two. To name a few moving image, metal, photography and writing, Hudson uses a variety of mediums in within her practice, each process telling of the narrative she works to portray. Currently, Hudson is in the process of writing a journal, tracking her thoughts, and daily happenings living in England within the first 30 days of Russia’s invasion, with family and friends still there during this time, this work aims to be a window to Ukraine for the west.
