my work is based around essentials for a student at Kingston foundation. My final piece is tailored to my personal experience at Kingston and the garment contains all essentials I need to get through the foundation course. I wanted my work to have more of a playful direction. The whole idea is you wouldn’t need anything else to carry your belongings. If you had a bag containing materials or other items you could simply hook it on or put in a pocket and keep moving. I think one of the most important part of my work is the reaction from others who look at it (specifically Kingston students) because I want them to look at it and wonder what they would put in the garment or how they would design it differently around their experiences.
