John Green is a character I created in order to explore the stock imagery industry. He used to be a popular fashion model in the 80s but unfortunately his career was short lived. He now sticks to stock imagery modelling in order to make a living. He is washed out and still slightly stuck in the 80s due to the fact he wants to hold onto the past.
When creating the cheesy aesthetic I drew upon features of the stock imagery magazine “The Image Bank” published in 1985.
