The life of a toddler is full of fun, and it is such a key period for the development of their social and emotional skills.
I designed a garment for my mum, who is a childminder, which she could use to help teach the children social and emotional skills. These include: playing together, sharing, taking turns and learning how to identify and express basic emotions.
This was achieved through incorporating a range of fun things they enjoy, bright colours, sensory elements, different facial expressions and shapes on Velcro and lots of pockets with a range of fastenings which also contribute to their development of fine motor skills. And of course, a giant parachute!
Having fun and learning social-emotional skills through a colourful and interactive garment!
