The initial inspiration for this project came from my upbringing, which I would sum up as a fusion of traditional and modern, linking East and West and blurring gender differences, all of which form unstable boundaries.
Through this project I want to explore, the boundaries of the city and nature, normal people and Polar explorers, the boundaries of time, and the boundaries of gender. I started my research and the development of my design by taking the traditional genderless Chinese garment Cheongsam, as my inspiration.
