For my final outcome I have art directed a sequence of photos that reflect the three main challenges that mothers face. Relationship imbalance within the domestic home, expectations to be selfless, financial strain and inflexible working hours are the four challenges which dominate ‘Mothers Load’. I’ve used flowers as a visual language due to their secret symbolism meanings, to convey my intention to reveal and bring awareness of the ‘hidden load’ and how some parents still do not have the choice to choose to not be a ‘housewife’ to the viewer.
