Deep sea phobia
This is a project about exploring unknown creatures. I suffer from severe deep-sea phobias and sometimes I even feel unable to breathe. I interviewed people with deep-sea phobias and found that they all had one thing in common: fear of unknown creatures. But the strange thing is, I enjoy the pain, and I really want to find the relationship between the two. And I found that The sublime, its intention is pleasant pain, negative pleasure. As Edmund Burke said: “anything terrible or familiar with terrible objects is the source of the sublime.” Compare the concepts of death, powerlessness and destruction to an uncontrollable, unknown ocean. Use your fear of the ocean and living things to create. It was a crazy experiment that made the soul tremble, not the calmness of beautiful works.

The strongest passion comes from fear.

It is a concept, a human experience, as old as love and death.
