It’s a project about exploring childhood memories! I interviewed people about their childhood stories, such as their favourite toy or game as a child, what colour their childhood was, etc…And I recreated items with their impressions based on their answers, using their ‘childhood colours’. I have tried to imitate children by drawing with my elbow and crouching under the table in a childlike manner.
I then send them back as a souvenir, hoping that one day when they see them they will be reminded to be a little more childlike.But to my surprise, when I took pictures of people holding my paintings, I could clearly see that there was a connection between the objects with the memories and their rooms! They still have the toys and hobbies of their childhood.
