We haven’t fully understood how genes work, but through genetic engineering, we have changed the code of Earth’s creatures. We use technology to engineer animals to sell as goods, but while we have tried to play God, there are still many mysteries involved that make people feel anxious and unsettled. The pros are obvious, while the cons are potentially seriously disastrous for nature.

My project playfully explores these ideas through a colour visual narrative. Using resin petri dishes, paper records and lab reports to imply the story behind these tests, my aim is for the audience to feel uncomfortable and question our use of genetic engineering.
