Xu Jia is an illustrator and student from China. She is a storyteller who likes to tell stories and often expresses her themes and ideas in the form of animations or picture books. She also tries to connect traditional and digital media, trying to find a new way to represent content. Her creative inspiration comes from books and films.
The book was inspired by her everyday life, she couldn’t get away from her mobile phone and although she knew in her heart it was bad and she wanted to go out and feel nature, she ended up immersing herself in the virtual world.
It’s a work that connects the traditional picture book approach with animation. I used an AR software to make it happen.
